Both of these books are introduced by Mufti Muhammad Shafi' (Late Grand Mufti of Pakistan) and have been translated into English in this book.

A translation of a book by the contemporary Scholar Shaykh Yusuf al-Qaradawi. In the book he discusses various aspects of poverty and shows how different religions and ideologies deal with it. He shows how Islam hopes to eradicate poverty and speaks on the dignity of labour and the position of begging in relation to it.

The merit of contentment is emphasised and the place of charity in society is described.

The author also mentions how the Companions and other eminent religious men tackled this problem.
